The two-day festival was dedicated to Shishya Pariwar of well-known dancer Parwati Dutta and followers of Mahagami to mark the completion of 22 years. Day one of the festival saw a range of Odissi dance recitals and Kathak performance by numerous dancers. The audience had a treat to their eyes as Parwati Dutta performed Odissi dance before all to mark the start. It was not only Parwati who impressed the viewers, her students too left no stones unturned to make her proud and presented another group Odissi dance. A solo performance by dancer Sudha Mukhopadhyay on Odissi was another highlight of the show which received much appreciation. The stage was then taken by the Kathak dancers of Mahagami as they put forth a rhythmic dance of Kathak that left the audience spellbound.
