Jaladasamaye | A tribute to Mahakavi Kalidas by artistes of Mahagami

City-based gurukul Mahagami celebrated Kalidas Diwas with their event Jaladasmaye which saw hundreds of enthusiasts attend the event. Based on Grishma-Varsha-RituVarnan of Kalidas’s Ritusamharam, the event comprised of classical dances that revolved around Kalidas’s works. Choreographed and directed by well-known dancer Parwati Dutta, the Kathak-Odissi-Natya presentation brought alive the rich poetic creations of Kalidas, Sanskrit legacy and the ancient natya tradition of dance, drama and abhinaya which was put forth by the dancers of Mahagami. It was a treat to the concert goers and Sanskrit lovers present at the auditorium.
