Dear Friends,
I consider Parwati Dutta one of the thinking minds presently contributing to Indian dance. She is not only a dancer/choreographer but a scholar to boot – being groomed by non other than the great and celebrated Indian dance-scholar, Dr Kapila Vatsyayan. I was privileged to be a guest at MAHAGAMI Gurukul, an thriving institution she runs as director and principal, in Aurangbad. Sutra Foundation is privileged to host her and hope that she can offer fresh insight to the creation of new dance works, especially Odissi.
